V-module Competency #3: Critical Decision Making
Competency Activity Overview
Learning Goals:
Critical decision-making is one of the five core virtual technology competencies. Critical thinking was identified in the literature as the act of deliberately analyzing information so that students can make better judgements and decisions. Critical thinking involves logic, reasoning, and creativity to draw conclusions and generally understand things better. The learning objective for this module is to help students to enhance their critical thinking to make a decision using virtual technology in the fashion/retail industry.

Learning Outcomes:
-
Students will be able to identify key issues relevant to using virtual technology in the fashion/retail industry.
-
Students will be able to find accurate information and structure it appropriately.
-
Students will be able to systematically analyze information to make informed decisions.
-
Students will be able to think through the options to determine the optimal choice given the circumstances.
Delivery Method:
This module is organized into five main sections, where each section addresses a key topic in teaching 3D/virtual technology. The resources include educational materials, such as in-class presentation, academic reading, informational videos, individual and group assignments, and case studies, which can be used to encourage students to critically think and ultimately improve their decision-making skills.
